Having made quite a name for themselves in their longstanding “pledge of excellence” , Baldwin & Lyons has made it a point to demonstrate their appreciation to their clients by hosting an incredible series of events surrounding the Indy 500 – known as Race Weekend. In an effort to continue to make this event more and more fun and exciting every year, Baldwin & Lyons enlisted the help of the Impulse Team to help take Race Weekend to the next level.
Impulse worked with Baldwin & Lyon’s in house event team to understand not only the history of Race Weekend, but also to get a sense of the vision of where our Clients wanted to see the event go for years to come. With that, the “new” concept of Race Weekend 2013 seemed clear – A Taste of Indianapolis. Impulse created a design plan for the event, complete with Champagne, Wine & Whiskey Tastings – all with featured vendors in the area. Impulse also helped to plan for Cigar rollers for the outdoor patios and entertainment which would fit the ambiance of the event without distracting from the networking needs or the key note addresses.
Guests also enjoyed premiere seating at the Indy 500, ride alongs in an Indy car, race simulators, a meet and greet with Mario Andretti and a whole series of tours, tastings and excursions throughout the weekend. Even with our clients being in Indianapolis, the Impulse team was only a phone call away for the 6 months prior to the event and when Race Weekend was upon us, New York headed out to Indiana to be on site for the weekend. Even after Race Weekend had come to an end, guests were reminded of the incredible experience with a surprise “Thank You” gift box sent to their homes.
